Fluorescent diagnostics of non-melanoma skin cancer

چکیده
Fluorescent diagnostics is a promising method for diagnosing non-melanocytic skin tumors, which makes it possible to identify clinically undetectable cancer foci and clarify the margin of tumor lesion. The main drugs uorescent are based on 5-aminolevulinic acid its methyl ester. Sensitivity indicators in basal cell, squamous cell carcinoma extramammary Paget’s disease reach 79.0-100.0%, speci city – 55.6-100%. But effectiveness this may be reduced due hyperkeratinization, keratinization, presence necrotic tissue surface foci. Comparative studies results histological mapping during removal using Mohs micrographic surgery showed approximately equal determining edges by these methods, indicates that safe technically easily performed can serve as good alternative surgery, one most accurate, but rather labor-intensive complex

Non-melanoma skin cancer diagnosis with a convolutional neural network
Background: The most common types of non-melanoma skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma (BCC), and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). AKIEC -Actinic keratoses (Solar keratoses) and intraepithelial carcinoma (Bowen’s disease)- are common non-invasive precursors of SCC, which may progress to invasive SCC, if left untreated. Due to the importance of early detection in cancer treatment, this study aimed...

متن کاملAspects of Fluorescence Diagnostics and Photodynamic Therapy in Non-melanoma Skin Cancer
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is now an established method to treat superficial basal cell carcinoma (BCC), Bowen’s disease (BD) and actinic keratosis (AK). The main advantage of PDT is that it is non-invasive and gives excellent cosmetic results; although the majority of the patients do experience some degree of pain, which can sometimes be extreme. Fluorescence diagnostics (FD) is a method to di...

BACKGROUND Non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSCs) are the most frequently seen cancers worldwide. METHODS The medical records of patients diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in Hatay Antakya pathology laboratory between January 2010 and September 2012 were retrospectively included in the study. Tumors were categorized according to age, gender, anatomical loc...
